I will be travelling to Partney in July 2009 to do family history research.  My 4th great-grandfather , Joseph Stones was born here in 1802, married Jane Dunkley in Spilsby, and then emigrated to Canada. Not all his children emigrated to Canada. At least one son, John Stones, stayed in the area.  Perhaps I will meet some family? Please, email me at pandoraboxed@yahoo.com, if you have any information on this family.

Fantastic site… I have been researching my family history off and on for quite some time now and keep getting led to this site. Hopefully one of these days I will be able to make it over there. Take care.

Great Site. Job well done! Tracing my family heritage and found your little gem. Not sure if it ties in to my history or not.

Great site - I'm researching my HOLMES family tree; Charles HOLMES born Stickney, living White House Inn in Partney in the 1901 census. I'm interested in making connections with relatives of Charles. please email me at brenda.lefley@btinternet.com::Also, was the Red Lion originally White House Inn?::::Thanks for the info on the village, it was great to read.

Looked up your website when we got home after "exploring" Partney and finding an ancestor in the Churchyard that we did not know about! The only person we spoke to was the caretaker of the village hall who was very friendly. What a lovely village! Great website, loads of information and helpful links, congratulations to the webmaster, you must really work at keeping this site up to date. I hope we shall visit again, perhaps when it's a bit warmer!

If anyone is interested in finding out more about Elfrida Johnson of the Red Lion Inn, she was my great grandmother!

Our compliments to your website! We have had the pleasure of visiting an old friend, Group Captain and Mrs. Alan Callway twice and stayed in the pub across the street from the Old Post House. Lovely!! Warm regards from Prescott, Arizona (in the Arizona mountains) USA. Fred and Gail Trost

A pleasure to browse through, bringing back memories of a visit I made a couple of years back, staying with my old friend Alan Callaway. I am sure you need more photgraphs, however, showing the lesser known corners of your handsome village. The Red Lion was a good start. Ron Tristram, Tokoroa, New Zealand.

I was born at High Toynton 80 ago and knew the area well. I left the area in 1944 but have tried to keep in touch. Alan Callaway introduced me to your site and I have had a great trip down memory lane. Well done. Nostalgia is still alive and kicking. Brian Ashley, Limassol, Cyprus
